"Requires that at least once every 2 years, the in-service training of certified school personnel and administrators include training on current best practices regarding the identification and treatment of attention deficit disorder and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder..." as well as associated medications and behavioral interventions.

"School districts should educate students, parents and elementary/secondary school personnel about what behaviors constitute prohibitive bullying..." Confidentiality (105 ILCS 10/3)
Administrators should ensure that school personnel abide by the Illinois School Student Records Act, Family Educational Records Privacy Act, Health insurance Portability and Accountability Act and Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act.
First Aid/American Red Cross/AED (105 ILCS 110/3)
Schools "shall encourage" employees to receive training in First Aid and CPR, including the use of an Automated External Defibrilator (AED). Schools must have at least 1 person on staff who is trained in the use of an AED during school hours and during athletic events/activities, and every staff member MUST be trained on the location of the AED and the facility's Medical Emergency Plan.
Training activities are offered periodically throughout the school year. Special arrangements are made to allow interested/required staff to attend these training activities during scheduled Institute days as well.
Gang Education (105 ILCS 5/27-23.10)
"Gang resistance education and training" may be implemented in schools, and schools may collaborate with law enforcement agencies or train their personnel in the delivery of such instructional activities.

Sexual Harassment & Discrimination Training (Recommended in Item 4: Title IX Enforcement on Sexual Harrassment)
#1. Maintain a published sexual harassment policy with specific complaint procedures to assert possible defenses, if necessary.
#2. Act promptly to investigate, and, if necessary, take appropriate remedial action regarding all complaints received under the policy.
#3. Reexamine your current sexual harassment policy to make sure it includes a complaint procedure that is accessible to employees, maintains confidentiality, provides for timely and thorough investigation and includes adequate remedial measures
#4. Make sure all your employees are aware of your sexual harassment policy. Revisit the policy with supervisors--in meetings or training--to ensure that they understand your policy and how to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.

Asbestos (Illinois Department of Public Health)
Requires a designated person in each Local Education Agency (LEA) to oversee all asbestos management plan activities. This person must receive adequate training as required buy the federal Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act.
Hazardous Materials (105 ILCS 5/10-20.17)
Personnel whose job description requires they have contact with hazardous materials on a regular basis must receive training in appropriate handling procedures, etc.
Integrated Pest Management (Illinois Department of Public Health)
If a school district does not have an approved integrated pest management plan, they must have at least 1 individual staff member trained (full-day training) by the Illinois Department of Public Health in integrated pest management every 5 years.
