Galesburg CUSD #205 does not mandate that certain applications/programs be used to support student learning & curriculum. The following is a listing of applications that might be considered for use in various classroom & educational settings. The term "considered" is used because I am familiar with the applications and can help teachers learn how to use & apply them in the classroom. However, teachers may choose to explore other applications/programs, so long as they are educationally-appropriate and do not violate our Acceptable Use Policy, mandated Content Filtering Policies, or other policies or practices laid out by District #205 administration. Desktop versions of Microsoft Office productivity suite are installed on employees' workstations. Most others are free or "freemium" apps. ("Freemium" means that a free version with basic functionality is available, but access to advanced functions of the app requires the end-user pay a fee/premium.) Remember that any costs associated with the use of paid and "freemium" apps are the teacher's responsibility.
Please let me know if you would like other apps added to this listing!
I'm always looking for ways to help kids in classrooms, and their teachers!
